Today we were a little longer on the trail; just a tick over 16 miles. The first part of the Camino leaving Pamplona was pleasant with a slight elevation change until we began the ascent to the Alto de Perdón. Even that climb wasn't as bad as was the descent. Despite the sore feet and need for more frequent stops along the way, the views and landscapes were stunning.
We visited this little church last year and had to return. Below is the lady that cares for the church and remembered it when we sang there. Jannette and I were alone so Jannette sang for "her Virgin." There was a lady in the church who sang along.
